Privacy Policy
Last updated July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Techanique Consulting LLC (“Techanique,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and safeguards information when you visit this website or contact us about our services. By using the site or submitting an inquiry, you agree to the practices described here.
1Information we collect
Information you provide. When you submit an inquiry, application, or partnership request, we collect the details you enter, which may include your name, email address, location, organization, the question or objective you describe, how you heard about us, and any research topic you select. If you contact us by email or book a call, we receive the information you choose to share.
Athletic and performance information. To assess fit and scope, you may choose to share performance context, footage, training background, or goals. We treat this as sensitive and use it only for the purpose you provided it.
Automatically collected information. Like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure providers may log basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed for security and reliability. We do not use advertising trackers.
2How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry and assess whether Techanique is the right fit.
- To schedule and conduct consultations, assessments, or partnership discussions.
- To provide the services you request and communicate about them.
- To operate, secure, and improve the website.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use athlete or performance information for advertising.
3How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the business:
- Service providers. We use trusted third parties to operate parts of the site and business, including Google (for the booking calendar and intake forms), YouTube (for embedded videos), Venmo (for approved payments), and email. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Techanique, our clients, or others.
- Business transfers. If the business is reorganized or transferred, information may be part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
Video embeds use the privacy-enhanced (nocookie) mode and do not load YouTube until you choose to play a video.
4Cookies and analytics
The website does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Third-party services you interact with (such as playing an embedded video or opening a booking link) may set their own cookies once you engage with them. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
5Data retention
We keep inquiry and client information for as long as needed to respond, deliver services, and meet legal, accounting, or record-keeping requirements. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. You may request deletion at any time.
6Your choices and rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and you may ask us to stop contacting you. To make a request, email torqueandgrip@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws; we will honor those rights as required.
7Children’s privacy
The website and services are directed to adults and to athletes represented by a parent, guardian, coach, or organization. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 16. If you believe a minor has provided information without appropriate consent, contact us and we will delete it.
8Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive medical records or confidential documents through the website; we will tell you the appropriate way to share materials if needed.
9Third-party links
The site links to third-party sites and services (for example, YouTube, a booking calendar, and payment tools). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their policies before providing information.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
