These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of this website and any services provided by Techanique Consulting LLC (“Techanique,” “we,” or “us”). By using the site, submitting an inquiry, or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or services.
1The services
Techanique provides applied force-transfer analysis: performance and technique assessment, measurement, research, and consulting for athletes, coaches, gyms, and organizations. Joe works as a specialist alongside an athlete’s existing team. He investigates a defined question and returns evidence and options; he does not replace a coach or training program.
2Not medical advice
Techanique provides performance and technique analysis. It does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. Any injury or medical information is handled only as needed and does not imply a medical service. The content on this site and any analysis we provide are for educational and performance purposes only. Always consult a qualified medical professional for injury, health, or medical questions, and train under appropriate supervision.
3Applications and acceptance
Engagements are application-based. Submitting an inquiry or application does not create a contract and does not guarantee acceptance. We review fit, the question, and available material before proposing any scope. Scope, deliverables, and fees are agreed in writing before work begins.
4No guarantees
Athletic outcomes depend on many factors outside our control. We do not guarantee any specific increase in force, speed, ranking, competition result, or other performance outcome. Any figures shown on the site are illustrative or measured examples, not promises. Results shared with permission describe individual cases and may not be typical.
5Assumption of risk
Athletic training and testing involve inherent physical risk. You are responsible for training safely, using appropriate supervision, and deciding whether any suggested change is right for you and your athlete. By participating, you accept these risks.
6Payments
Where payment applies, it is for an approved invoice or an agreed deposit only. Please confirm the amount with us before sending payment. Payment terms, cancellations, and refunds are set out in the applicable engagement agreement.
7Intellectual property
The website, its text, graphics, diagrams, and design, and Techanique’s research, methods, models, protocols, and measurement systems are the property of Techanique Consulting LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Public pages present the territory and questions of the work; the underlying methods and data remain confidential. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse site content or confidential materials without our written permission.
8Confidentiality
Materials you share for an assessment (such as footage, context, and goals) are treated as confidential and used only for the agreed purpose. In turn, any non-public methods, reports, or materials we share with you are confidential and may not be redistributed without our consent.
9Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site: no attempting to disrupt it, access it without authorization, scrape it at scale, misrepresent your identity, or use it for unlawful purposes. We may suspend access for conduct that harms the site, our clients, or others.
10Third-party services and links
The site uses and links to third-party services (for example, YouTube, a booking calendar, and payment tools). Your use of those services is subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for third-party content or practices.
11Disclaimers
The site and services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
12Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Techanique and its members will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the site or services. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Techanique from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the site or services or your violation of these Terms.
14Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, unless otherwise required by law.
